The Pinjarra SHS Annual Report gives an overview of the school’s achievements, academic performance, strategic goals, and financial performance relating to the previous calendar year. The school’s Annual Report is also made public via the Schools Online website.
As part of its strategic planning, Pinjarra Senior High School undertakes a continuous process of reflection on student performance and progress. There is a whole school plan for the collection, analysis, and use of student achievement data to guide classroom planning, identify areas of improvement and make overall judgments of the effectiveness of the school’s performance. In turn, this assessment renews each successive Business Plan. Our Business Plan is aligned to the 2008 Melbourne Declaration on Educational Goals for Young Australians. These goals are:
- Australian schooling promotes equity and excellence; and
- All young Australians become successful learners, confident and creative individuals, and active and informed citizens.
It also outlines our strategic direction as an Independent Public School and reflects The Department of Education’s ‘Strategic Plan for WA Public Schools 2016 – 2019’ and the priorities listed in the department’s plan:
- Success for all students
- High quality teaching
- Effective leadership; and
- Strong governance and support
Parents and Carers should familiarise themselves with Pinjarra Senior High School’s policies regarding Good Standing and the use of Personal Electronic Devices. This will aid them in ensuring their child adheres to these policies whilst they are attending the school. Links to download these policy documents are available in the sidebar on the right.
